Dolores Reaves, Program Coordinator at Village Shalom, was unanimously elected president of the Kansas City Area Activity Professionals group. She will serve a two-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2012.

Dolores has been an activity professional for more than 30 years, and holds the national designation of Activity Director Provisionally Certified (ADPC). She joined the Village Shalom staff 10 years ago as Day Stay Program Coordinator. More recently, she has assumed the role of Program Coordinator for Village Shalom’s memory care area.

KCAAP, the local section of the National Association of Activity Professionals, is composed of activity professionals working in primarily senior-adult settings. The organization provides opportunities for its members to achieve professional development and personal growth.
