UrbanSuburban 2011: Let There Be Light Exhibition and Art Auction
UrbanSuburban 2011: Let There Be Light represents the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Kansas City Jewish Museum of Contemporary Art (KCJMCA) and the organization’s Museum Without Walls program. UrbanSuburban in 2011 carries a special theme of illumination and features works of art by over 80 artists in a salon-style display within KCJMCA’s Epsten Gallery including painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, fiber, mixed media, and jewelry.
The annual UrbanSuburban exhibition at Epsten Gallery offers audiences an opportunity to view a cross-section of established artists from the Kansas City region as well as a chance to discover some new talent from the community. This exhibition is also a popular destination for the region’s collectors and curators.
Participating UrbanSuburban 2011 artists include: Diana Abitz, Alberto Aguilar, Miki Baird, Jennifer Boe, Mark Cowardin, Melissa Eder, Andrea Flamini, Ryan Fletcher, Steve Gorman, Tom Gregg, Rain Harris, Tanya Hartman, Christopher Leitch, Marilyn Mahoney, Jason Pollen, Janet Satz, Mary Ann Strandell, Jane Voorhees, Chris Wright, and many others.
