The Kansas City Jewish Museum of Contemporary Art is pleased to kick off the fall 2010 art season at the Epsten Gallery at Village Shalom with UrbanSuburban 2010, its sixth annual exhibition and fundraising event. More than 80 local, regional, and national artists will be participating in the UrbanSuburban 2010 Exhibition, which will open in the Epsten Gallery on Sunday, September 5, 2010, with an opening reception from 2-4 p.m. The UrbanSuburban 2010 Auction fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 23 from 7-10 p.m.
UrbanSuburban 2010 Exhibition and Art Auction
The Kansas City Jewish Museum will feature works by over 80 artists in this salon-style exhibition, which will include painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, fiber, mixed media, jewelry and Judaica by artists from Missouri, Kansas, Mississippi, New York, and California. This display of artwork will be featured in the Kansas City Jewish Museum¹s Epsten Gallery and KCJMCA Project Cases throughout the first-floor of Village Shalom.
The annual UrbanSuburban Exhibition at Epsten Gallery offers audiences an opportunity to view a cross-section of established artists from the Greater Kansas City region as well as a chance to discover some up-and-coming talent from the area¹s emerging artists. This exhibition is also a popular destination for the region¹s collectors and curators.
Participating UrbanSuburban 2010 artists include: Todd Cero-Atl, Lynn Smiser Bowers, Michael Krueger, Karen McCoy, Sylvia Rose Augustus, Deanna Dikeman, Nate Fors, Peregrine Honig, Amy Kephart, Hugh, Merrill, Jane Almirall, Robert Anders, Phil Shafer, Jon Scott Anderson, Jesse Christopher, Mary Ann Strandell, and many others.
