The Shalom Suites for Alzheimer’s Care consist of 36 private suites with both assisted living and skilled nursing options for persons who would benefit from a memory support environment. The Shalom Suites offer an unrivaled activities program that provides our residents with over 40 hours of structured dementia based programming per week. Our certified nursing staff is trained in the latest techniques to promote resident participation while also honoring the resident’s established life patterns and routines.

The Shalom Suites for Alzheimer’s Care has recently been recognized by the Kansas Department on Aging as Johnson County’s only 2007 PEAK (Promoting Excellent Alternatives in Kansas nursing homes) Award recipient. This prestigious award was given as the result of our focus on the innovation of culture change in long-term care through the implementation of person-centered care in a household-like environment.
