Why travel out for errands? Nearly every convenience you can ask for can be found under Village Shalom’s roof.
Village Shalom provides numerous amenities right on campus to simplify the lives of our residents and provide convenient alternatives to going out for errands.
For your health and beauty needs, there’s our Wellness Center, two licensed beauty salons, a dental clinic and a massage therapy studio. Our residents also have access to on-site visits from our house physician, podiatrist, and audiologist.
We offer traditional and liberal Jewish worship services every Friday and Saturday in the Appleman Synagogue. The Uhlmann Library is home to a sizable collection of traditional, large-print and audio books. Visitors? Grab a casual lunch at our on-site eatery, Rachel’s Café. Young visitors? Be sure to check out the Little Village’s indoor and outdoor playgrounds. And don’t forget to grab a cup of coffee or happy hour drink at Beverly’s – Village Shalom’s new entertainment hub.

The Epsten Gallery is a contemporary, museum-quality art gallery housed on the Village Shalom campus. The Epsten Gallery hosts traveling exhibits from all across the country each year. Open to the public, the gallery also makes resident involvement a priority through several art therapy classes each week and the annual interactive art experience/exhibit – ARTicipation.
