An ‘Act Of Congress’ At Village Shalom
What does a U.S. congressman from Kansas do after he has retired from office? If he’s Dennis Moore, he initiates a “campaign” of a different kind – entertaining appreciative audiences with his musical talents. He recently visited Village Shalom to sing folk songs with some of the residents, accompanying himself on the guitar that was his constant companion on the campaign trail. Moore, who served as U.S. Representative from Kansas’s 3rd congressional district from 1999-2011, had everyone’s vote at his Village Shalom performance.
