Community-wide Purim Day Seudah
Jewish community members of all ages will join together on Thursday, Mar. 1 for a Purim “Seudah” (a festive meal on Purim day) beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Village Shalom.
Enjoy a delicious catered festival lunch, a Purim-sing-along, an engaging and interactive reading of the megillah, assemble Shalach Manot gift bags and an optional traditional Megillah after lunch. The program will be led by members of the Rabbinical Association including Rabbi Scott White, Rabbi Linda Steigman, and Rabbi Jonathan Rudnick along with Hazzan Tahl Ben-Yehuda. Participants are welcome to wear a costume!
There is no charge to attend the program but attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable kosher for Passover food item for the JFS Food Pantry. The Purim Seudah is sponsored by the Rabbinical Association in collaboration with Village Shalom and generously supported by the Flo Harris Foundation of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City.
