The Epsten Gallery has announced a call to artists for UrbanSuburban XI: Transition, Experience, Adventure. Selected work will be on view from Aug. 30 – Nov. 1.  All selected works will be for sale on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A range of art works involving ideas of Transition, Experience and Adventure in mediums including painting, photography and printmaking; sculpture, drawing, jewelry, textiles, ceramics and functional art will be considered.  Works cannot exceed 48” x 48” x 48”.

This year’s guest juror is April Watson, Curator of Photography at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.  Further opportunities for artists will be announced to artists who provide submissions.

Artists can provide a full donation of their work or receive 50% from the sale of their work.  The juror will select one work from each artist’s submission.  Exceptions may apply in the case of jewelry or individual works with more than one component (i.e., diptych, etc.).

This spectacular exhibition and fundraiser supports the dynamic schedule of programs at the Epsten Gallery that serve an intergenerational community of participants, exhibiting artists and arts professionals.

A full-color publication will accompany the exhibition.
