VSU Seeking Volunteer 'Professors'
Village Shalom is hiring. The pay is non-existent, but the hours are flexible and the rewards are high for Village Shalom University volunteer “professors.” The fifth-annual “semester” of the award-winning lifelong learning initiative has been scheduled for the week of July 20-23. Village Shalom University is a week-long course offering where residents, volunteers and staff attend and teach classes covering a myriad of topics. Previous class subjects have ranged from origami to Orphan Trains – casino perks to characteristics of great listeners.
VSU is currently accepting applications for volunteer “professors.” No certifications are required, just a passion for a particular topic and the willingness to put together 30 minutes to two hours’ worth of subject matter. Click here to download the 2015 VSU Professor Application. Applications must be returned by no later than May 11 for consideration. For more information about VSU or becoming a volunteer “professor” email VSU@VillageShalom.org.
