The Epsten Gallery is pleased to present ARTicipation Pop-Up Studio 2017: Connections, an open-studio, art-making environment for audiences of all ages and abilities. The exhibit will run May 7 through June 30. The public opening reception will take place on Sunday, May 7 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Village Shalom resident Judith Perlman has been a member of the American Legion Band of Greater Kansas City for more than 35 years. When early onset Alzheimer's threatened to take it all away, a group of friends banded together to ensure that Judy's music didn't fade.
The award will be presented at the Ages of Excellence Celebration to be held on Nov. 16 at Intercontinental Hotel. Proceeds from the event provide financial assistance for Village Shalom residents.
The Village Shalom Board of Directors has announced the election of three new officers, the addition of two new members and the retirement of one long-standing member.
Village Shalom was deemed "deficiency-free" on its 2016 federal/state survey by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services. Less than three percent of Kansas facilities surveyed receive zero deficiencies.
