A quiet underpinning of success at Village Shalom is the dedication of our volunteers. Their presence on campus impacts residents’ on the most fundamental level, providing companionship, compassion, and care.
Whether assisting with programs, delivering meals, or teaching a class at Village Shalom University – we match you with a volunteer role based on your interests and comfort level. With such a wide variety of activities and programs, there is truly something for everyone!
The work we do here would absolutely not be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers.
As a 24/7 community, we have countless volunteer opportunities to accommodate your schedule. To participate, please fill out the Volunteer Enrollment Form on our website.

Some consistent volunteer needs are:
Adopt-a-Resident: Are you interested in individual visits with residents? Our residents benefit from volunteers who read to them, play games with them, or just want to spend quality time together!
iPod Assistance: Are you familiar with downloading music to an iPod? We are looking for individuals who can assist in filling 27 iPods for Village Shalom’s Memories & Music program.
Villa Meal Delivery: Villa resident dinners are delivered between 4:45-6:00 p.m. We currently need volunteers to assist with dinner deliveries Monday through Friday
Front Porch Visitors: Are you available to share conversation with our residents out on the front porch? Mornings and afternoons are the best time to fully appreciate the sun, flowers, and fresh air.
