Not at all. We welcome residents of all faiths and backgrounds to our community. We offer traditional and liberal Jewish services on campus, as well as monthly Catholic and Protestant services. We also provide transportation to local houses of worship each weekend.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Yes, we offer kosher options for every meal of the day from our Vaad-supervised kosher kitchen. Kosher meals are available in Rachel\u2019s Caf\u00e9 and the dining room, and can be delivered to independent living residents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Yes, we provide both scheduled and unscheduled transportation. We have two full-time drivers along with a 24-passenger bus and an eight-passenger van, both of which are wheelchair accessible. This allows for transportation for both activities and medical appointments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n

Patients who are cognitively challenged, whether from Alzheimer\u2019s or other forms of dementia, require more attention and a higher level of security than residents in assisted living<\/a>. The memory care neighborhood<\/a> at Village Shalom is carefully designed to ensure residents feel safe and secure. Our program is structured to build confidence in an environment that promotes choice and celebrates accomplishments through familiar schedules and surroundings. At the time of move-in, the director of assisted living<\/a> completes an assessment on each new resident, which is updated as needed. The assessment determines the resident\u2019s all-inclusive level of care, so you will always know what your monthly charges will be.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
