When John Morrow arrived at Village Shalom following back surgery, the road ahead felt overwhelming. At the time of admission, John required maximal assistance for all functional mobility and was unable to tolerate being out of bed. Even small movements were exhausting, and everyday tasks felt far out of reach.
Through determination, consistency, and countless hours of hard work alongside his therapist, John has made truly remarkable progress. Step by step, he rebuilt his strength, endurance, and confidence. Today, John is able to complete all functional mobility with stand-by assistance, ambulate safely, and climb stairs-milestones that once seemed impossible.
John’s remarkable progress is a testament to his dedication and positive attitude, along with the expert, compassionate support of the Village Shalom therapy team. Each therapy session brought new challenges, which John consistently met with resilience and determination.
John will soon be discharging to assisted living here at Village Shalom, where he plans to continue therapy with the ultimate goal of returning home. We are incredibly proud of how far he has come and look forward to cheering him on as he continues this journey.
