Mind

Ignite your curiosity and embrace new challenges with opportunities like Village Shalom University, engaging creative classes, lunch-and-learn events, inspiring art exhibits at The Epsten Gallery, and exciting off-campus excursions. There’s always something intriguing to discover and endless ways to keep learning.

Body

Take care of your body at a pace that suits you. Enjoy a peaceful stroll along the walking paths, join aqua aerobics, yoga, or tai chi classes, master the fitness equipment, or work one-on-one with a personal trainer. With a variety of healthy dining options on campus, you can eat well and savor every bite!

Spirit

Nurturing your spirit can take many meaningful paths. We offer traditional and liberal Jewish services in our on-campus synagogue, along with monthly Catholic and Protestant services. Free transportation is available to local places of worship. You can also find peace and harmony with the world around you through nature, art, and serving others by volunteering.

Transform

Our newest fitness center, Transform, is open 24/7 for all Independent Living residents. The facility is equipped with everything you need to stay active and healthy, including:

  • Treadmills
  • NuStep recumbent stepper
  • CyberCycle recumbent bike
  • Free weights, bands, and mats
  • Full mirrors with ballet bars
  • Transform machine for balance, leg strength, and endurance

Additional offerings include:

  • Detailed orientation to ensure safe equipment use
  • Live, small-group fitness classes led by certified instructors, including Chair Yoga, Tai Chi, and Balance
  • Personal training and massage therapy available for an additional fee

Wellness Center

Our fitness center is thoughtfully designed to help you achieve your wellness goals, offering a variety of amenities and services tailored to your needs:

  • State-of-the-art equipment: Treadmills, NuStep machines, and senior-friendly weightlifting equipment
  • Fitness classroom: Equipped with bars and mirrors for specialized workouts
  • Warm water pool: Maintained at 89°F, perfect for water classes and free-time swimming. It includes a Hydrorider stationary bike and a lift for easy entry and exit

Additional offerings include:

  • Fitness classes: Weekly sessions in strength training, balance training, chair yoga, and tai chi
  • Personal training: Available by appointment, with trainers specializing in post-therapy exercise programs
  • Massage therapy: Offered by appointment in the on-site day spa
