The Summer of Champions brings together stories, celebrations, and events that highlight excellence in all its forms — from personal milestones and acts of kindness to athletic achievements, creative expression, and lifelong dedication to service.
Inspired by global moments like the FIFA World Cup and the Maccabi Games, and anchored by beloved Village Shalom traditions such as the Father’s Day Run, this theme connects the spirit of competition with something even more powerful: community.

You don’t need a medal to be a champion — our champions are the people who show up, care deeply and make a difference every day.
This summer, we’re celebrating the residents, families, volunteers and team members who make Village Shalom such a special community.
Now through September 15, you can help us celebrate our Everyday Champions through the Employee Appreciation Fund. This annual campaign gives residents, families and friends an opportunity to say thank you to the Village Shalom employees who make a difference throughout the year. Donations are distributed to eligible employees at the end of the year as a special expression of appreciation.
