In our assisted living community residents receive the nursing care they need, with all the activities and amenities of the Village Shalom campus just outside their door.
At 355 square feet, The Renoir is our studio option in assisted living. Each apartment features a kitchenette just off the entry. A small eating area sits off the kitchenette with sink, microwave and small refrigerator/freezer. The Renoir has two closets, and a handicap-accessible bathroom with walk-in shower and grab bars.
“The staff is like no other. Any time I need them, they're there. I really love them.”— Claire Siegel
Village Shalom is the Kansas City area’s choice for high-quality assisted living care. Four levels of care are offered in assisted living, including medication management, bathing/dressing, incontinence assistance, and more. There are laundry rooms on each floor, computer lounges, a library, 24-hour security, and a lifetime membership to the on-campus Wellness Center.
In addition, residents receive these inclusive services:
Our residents enjoy three freshly prepared meals served each day in our restaurant-style dining room. We have kosher and non-kosher options that can accommodate most dietary restrictions. We offer two featured entrée selections for each meal, as well as a menu with several items that are available every day.
Our senior living community is alive with activity. There’s always something happening at Village Shalom, whether it’s social or cultural activities, religious services, or fun outings to places off campus. We’re particularly proud of the prestigious Epsten Gallery, a museum-quality viewing space with art exhibits from around the country. Residents can attend music performances, card groups, Bingo, storytellers, spa manicures, and weekly happy hour, to name a few.
We hold regular Kabbalat Shabbat and liberal Jewish services on campus, plus monthly Catholic mass and Protestant services, as well as special holiday services.
Located in the heart of southern Overland Park, our residents enjoy regular outings to locations off campus, too. Residents can enjoy shopping, sporting events, country rides, concerts, museums, the casino, and more.
